The brutality, the cowardly love and the dramatic intertwining of destiny are the elements of a story with a disconcerting ending.

When Luca, a devoted Italian family man, is unexpectedly fired after two decades of loyal service, he's left with little choice but to gamble everything on a new life in China, with a baby on the way. Far from home and grappling with the stark cultural divide, Luca forms an unlikely bond with Mr. Chen, a charismatic and fiercely competitive man who shares his deepest values—his family. But when a sudden illness strikes, one man finds himself dealing with loss of the other.
